Youth Exchange "Don't be a cyber Bully" in Riga, Latvia

"Limitless Voice of youth" association is searching for 10 participants from Italy for Erasmus+ Youth Exchange project about Cyberbulling. the project will be organised in Riga, Latvia for 9 days (including travel days) in September. the project is Financed by Erasmus+ Programme.

 


About Riga

Riga is the capital of Latvia and is the 3rd largest city in Northern Europe with 1,1 million inhabitants in the Riga metropolitan area. Being significantly larger than other cities of Latvia, Riga is the country's primate city. It is also the largest city in the three Baltic states and is home to one tenth of the three Baltic states' combined population. The city lies on the Gulf of Riga at the mouth of the Daugava River where it meets the Baltic Sea. Riga's territory covers 307.17 km2 and lies 1–10 m above sea level, on a flat and sandy plain.

Riga was founded in 1201 and is a former Hanseatic League member. Riga's historical centre is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, noted for its Art Nouveau/Jugendstil architecture and 19th century wooden architecture. In 2016, Riga received over 1.4 million visitors. The city is served by Riga International Airport, the largest and busiest airport in the Baltic states. Riga is a member of Eurocities, the Union of the Baltic Cities (UBC) and Union of Capitals of the European Union (UCEU).


Project Contents

- By disseminating Erasmus Plus program, to break down the prejudices with the help of different cultures, to help eliminate the borders and for a common purpose with different cultures, to draw attention to the anatomy of violence and the cyber bullying that is reflected in the virtual world.  Directing young people to social responsibility projects.

- To contribute to the foreign language development of young people.

- To explain to young people what Youthpass certificate is, the purpose and importance of this certificate.

- To achieve these goals, the violence factor that causes cyberbullying will be examined and it will contribute to the target.

-  To introduce Latvia.


Eligibility
 
- You are Italian or resident in Italy.
 
- Aged between 17 - 30 years, There is No age limit for Team leade.
 
- Have a good Command of English Language.
 
- Able to work in a team, responsible, flexible and motivated by this project.

- Able to attend the full duration of the project.
 
 
Partner Countries
 
Italy - Spain - Latvia - Romania - Czech Republic - Turkey 
 
There will be 10 participants from Each Country.
 

Finance and Benefits
 
- Your Travel Expenses will be reimbursed up to 275 EUR for Round trip.
 
- Host organisation will reimburse the travel expenses by bank transfer to group leader accounts after the exchange.

- You will be accommodated in shared rooms with another participants (Same Gender)

- You will get 3 meals and 2 coffee break per day.

- Project Material will be provided by host organisation.
 
 
What to Bring?
 
- All the participants coming from the EU should bring their European Health Card. They can use the free European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) to allow cover private health care, non- emergency health costs, or being flown back to your home country.

- Summer Clothes
 
- Coat, Slipper, Sneakers, Towels, tooth paste and tooth brush
 
- Personal medicine, Cosmetics, mosquito repellent
 
- National / Traditional food, drinks, clothes, music or other Things of your country you would like to present/ show for intercultural evenings
 
- Music, games, photos and other are also welcome
 
- Some sport / casual clothes as well, as You can
 
- Positive energy and open-minded attitude

Arrival day: 1st of September 2022
 
Departure Day: 9th of September 2022
 
 
Extra Days
 
Participants can spend in in total 4 extra days on their own costs in the country before the project starts and/or after the project. If you stay over 4 days, then we cannot reimburse to you at all.

 
How to get Project Venue?

- Firstly, you will fly from Italy to Riga, try to arrive in Riga Airport before 10:00 pm.

- There will be probably an organized transport by Bus to pick up participants from Riga Airport or Old Riga City Center – Strelnieku Iaukums, it is near the Akmens tilts bridge to Activity place.

Rules and procedures
 
- All the participants will be expected to be present and active in all the activities.

- Unauthorized absence from the activities and workshops won‘t be tolerated.

- Respect the common areas and leave them clean.

- Be on time every session.

- Respect the schedule.

- Don‘t disturb after midnight.

- Any lack of respect among participants and staff won't be tolerated.

- Stress, nerves and bad mood is prohibited everywhere. Bring your best mood and big smile with you and keep it through the Exchange! Prepare for fun!


Saftey and Covid-19
 
In our activities we support the principle of a safer space, where no-one is discriminated or bullied because of their background or person. We want you to respect the same principle.

We are closely monitoring the situation with Covid-19 and will take all measures necessary for the safeness of participants. In order to apply you should familiarise yourself with the Covid-19 rules when traveling to Latvia.
