Youth Exchange "The Door from Health to Art" in Kastamonu, Turkey

Mobility of young people "The Door from Health to Art; Ergotherapy ". The project will organised by Kastamonu Fotograf Sanatı Derneği in Kastamonu, TURKEY.

 

About Kastamonu

Kastamonu is the capital district of the Kastamonu Province, Turkey. The district covers an area of 1,834 km2, and the town lies at an elevation of 904 m (2,966 ft). It is located to the south of the province.

Kastamonu is a lovely city hidden in the midst of forests in Anatolia. The beauty of the 12th century Byzantine castle at the foot of the hill welcomes you. The 13th century Atabey Mosque and the Ibni Neccar Mosque are worth visiting. In the village of Kasaba you will have the opportunity to see one of the most elegant wood carvings of Turkey, on the Mahmut Bey Mosque.

The Ilgaz National Park is 63 kilometers (39 miles) south of Kastamonu. It is a perfect destination for mountaineering and especially for winter sports since there is a ski-center with good accommodation facilities. The landscape from the Ilgaz Mountain (2587 meters - 8490 feet) is breathtaking; you will want to take lots of photographs. The Kizilirmak River contributes to that marvelous picture of the city. The Ilgarini cave at Cide, the Alinca underground cave at Kure, and the International Equestrian Tourism Center of Daday are amongst other attractions.

Project Aims

- To explain the awareness of the occupational therapy.

- To direct society to art by using ergo-therapy as a purpose and art as a tool.

- To provide intergenerational transfer in the light of scientific, artistic, and cultural developments at national and international level by using the universal language of art.

-  To develop the spiritual, physical, emotional, and cognitive aspects of all individuals included in our program, especially our participants.

- To improve independence and quality of life in daily life and also to encourage the skills necessary to deal with difficulties in self-care, producation and leisure activities.

- To  reveal the motivation to provide education, life satisfaction in the individual, trigger the desire to want and the power to provide sincere pleasure.

Eligibility

 

- You are Italian or resident in Italy.

 

- Aged between 17 - 30 years, There is No age limit for Team leader.

 

- Have a good Command of English Language.

 

- Able to work in a team, responsible, flexible and motivated by this project.

- Able to attend the full duration of the project.

There will be 6 participants from Each Country.

 

Finance and Benefits

 

- Your Travel Expenses will be reimbursed up to 360 EUR for Round trip.

- You will be accommodated at KAYI OTEL Kastamonu in shared rooms.

- You will get 3 meals and 2 coffee break per day.

- Project Material will be provided by host organisation.

 

 

What to Bring?

 

- All the participants coming from the EU should bring their European Health Card. They can use the free European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) to allow cover private health care, non- emergency health costs, or being flown back to your home country.

- Personal medicine, Cosmetics, mosquito repellent

- National / Traditional food, drinks, clothes, music or other Things of your country you would like to present/ show for intercultural evenings

Extra Days

 

Following the guidelines of the Erasmus+ Programme, the trip must be made by participants within a maximum of 4 days from the project dates (arrival is maximum
2 days). (arrival maximum 2 days before the project and departure maximum 2 days after the project). During the additional days, participants must cover all their
expenses, such as accommodation, food, etc. 

 

How to get Project Venue?

- After Arrival Istanbul you have some options to arrive Kastamonu, Turkey as following:

1- Fly from Istanbul Airport to Kastamonu Airport (1hr 5min)

2- Take Bus from Istanbul (Esenler Otogarı) to (Kastamonu Otogarı), the distance takes approx. (9 hr.), and ticket price is 20 EUR

  
- There will be an organized transport to pick up participants from Kastamonu Station to the Activity place.
