Erasmus+ Project "Object: volunteering " in valladolid, Spain for One Week

Youth Exchange Project to promote volunteering and solidarity to face critical times (Covid19,Climatic change, etc.). The objective is to raise the Young people’s awereness of the importance of solidarity in the fight against problems that affect te whole population in Europe. The project will organised by Municipality of Villalar de los Comuneros in Valladolid, Spain.

 

Project Summary


Europe faces a moment of transformation. The Coronavirus crisis has wiped out years of economic and social recovery and exposed again structural weaknesses in Europe's economy. Also, there are reports that show the solidarity is a mainstay of EU. For example, in hardest years of crisis the number of volunteers grew. This fact shows that in times of crisis the citizens find in the social cooperation one of the best tools to improve the situation of the most vulnerable groups.


Project Aims

- To promote the importance of solidarity, also extolling the solidarity like a tool to fight social problems derivate from crisis, such as Covid19, the aging population, Climatic change, the result of strong migration flows localized depressions or pressure for resources. 

- the project intends to promote the solidarity in EU between all levels, opening the European citizens mind respecting the contribution of solidarity in the way to reach an intelligent, sustainable, and integrative economy in the EU. 

 

Eligibility
 
- You are Italian or resident in Italy.
 
- Aged between 18 - 30 years.
 
- Have a good Command of English Language.
 
- Able to work in a team, responsible, flexible and motivated by this project.

- Able to attend the full duration of the project.

Spain - Portugal - Lithunia - Italy - Netherlands - North Macedonia

There will be 5 participants from Each Country.
 

Finance and Benefits


- Your Travel Expenses will be reimbursed up to 275 EUR for Round trip.
 
- Participants will be accommodated in Villalar de los Comuneros (Valladolid). Candidates will be enjoy a comfortable stay surrounded by a beautiful landscape.

- You will be accommodated in shared rooms.

- You will get 3 meals and 1 coffee break per day.

- Project Material will be provided by host organisation.
 
 
What to Bring?
 
- All the participants coming from the EU should bring their European Health Card. They can use the free European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) to allow cover private health care, non- emergency health costs, or being flown back to your home country.

- Summer Clothes

- Rain Jacket / Coat, Slipper, Sneakers

- Personal medicine, Cosmetics, mosquito repellent

- National / Traditional food, drinks, clothes, music or other Things of your country you would like to present/ show for intercultural evenings

- Music, games, photos and other are also welcome

EXTRA DAYS
 
Following the guidelines of the Erasmus+ Programme, the trip must be made by participants within a maximum of 4 days from the project dates (arrival is maximum
2 days). (arrival maximum 2 days before the project and departure maximum 2 days after the project). During the additional days, participants must cover all their
expenses, such as accommodation, food, etc. 

 
How to get Project Venue?

- The closest airport with the most air connections is Madrid-Barajas airport, which is around 212 kilometers away.

- There will be an organized transport to pick up participants at the airport, and another one to drop them off on their return. 

- It is VERY IMPORTANT that volunteers buy their tickets to arrive in Madrid before18:00h on 8 June. For the return journey, it is VERY IMPORTANT that participants buy their tickets from 12:00h on 16 June.

In our activities we support the principle of a safer space, where no-one is discriminated or bullied because of their background or person. We want you to respect the same principle.

We are closely monitoring the situation with Covid-19 and will take all measures necessary for the safeness of participants. In order to apply you should familiarise yourself with the Covid-19 rules when traveling to Spain.
